Indy Power Systems upgraded the hardware and software of its Multi-Flex™ Microgrid management system to manage the addition of a water turbine at the Lamar Buffalo Ranch in Yellowstone National Park. The Yellowstone Microgrid now manages 2 solar arrays, 4 battery arrays (each containing 52 used Camry Hybrid battery packs for a total of 208 battery packs), a water turbine, and a backup generator.
